On July 1, a delegation of 38 teachers and students from Juan XXIII Peruvian Chinese School in Peru, led by Principal Jennifer Romy, visited CUMT to participate in the 2025 Peru-China Culture Summer Camp.

Supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of China's Ministry of Education, the event aims to promote educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Peru.

On the morning of July 3, the delegation first visited the State Key Laboratory for Fine Exploration and Intelligent Development of Coal Resources. They gained an in-depth understanding of the university's research progress in coal exploration and intelligent mining and conducted an on-site inspection of the experimental platforms. Subsequently, the teachers and students toured the CUMT-UCASAL Joint Research Center for Bio-mining and Soil Ecological Restoration, the China Coal Science and Technology Museum, the History Museum of CUMT, and the Natural History Collection Hall, gaining a comprehensive overview of the development of China's coal industry and the century-long history of the university.

At noon, the delegation experienced local gastronomy at the university's 1818 Food Plaza, immersing themselves in the life atmosphere of a Chinese university. In the afternoon, they visited the library. During an information session on studying at the university, the International College detailed policies for studying in China and arranged for representatives of South American international students to interact with the visiting Peruvian delegation. Peruvian students actively asked questions, creating a lively atmosphere.

At the Undergraduate Innovation Training Center, the delegation observed student scientific and technological innovation achievements up close and personally experienced featured projects such as MR (Mixed Reality) technology and laser metal business card making. The Peruvian students also operated intelligent robotic dogs and robots, sparking their interest in technological innovation through hands-on interaction.

On July 4, the International College of CUMT signed an enrollment cooperation agreement with Juan XXIII Peruvian Chinese School. Principal Jennifer Romy stated that this visit not only provided Peruvian teachers and students with a deep understanding of the innovative strength of Chinese higher education but also laid a solid foundation for long-term cooperation in the future.

CUMT will continue to deepen exchange and cooperation with overseas institutions, build international education platforms, and contribute to cultural exchanges and the cultivation of scientific and technological talent between China and foreign countries.
